Susan Anglada Bartley is a writer, healer, educator, and activist living in the United States. She writes on addiction & recovery, ancestry, anarcha-feminism, education, race, media, environmental justice, spirituality, gardening & natural medicine, healing, and resistance. Healing: Susan is a certified yoga and meditation instructor who studied with Baba Hari Dass before he transitioned. She is a certified End-of-Life Doula (grief and death companion). She has participated in many natural medicine workshops and is a member of the healing community.
Community & Activism:
Susan is a committed member of the anti-fascist resistance community in Portland, Oregon. She regularly supports organizing efforts to achieve racial justice in all institutions, including policing, prisons, public education, immigration justice, and ICE Abolition. She is involved in mutual aid efforts in service of people struggling with addiction and people who are living outside. She is a grateful member of the recovery community in Portland, Oregon.

Susan was awarded a National Education Association H. Councill Trenholm Human and Civil Rights Award in 2013, and the OnPoint Award for Excellence in Education in 2014. She was honored as a Portland State University distinguished alumnus in 2016. Her past public speaking events include the National Education Association Awards Ceremony in Atlanta, the annual Portland Keep Alive the Dream Annual MLK Memorial Celebration, the North Portland Library (sponsored by Resolutions NW), Literary Arts Buffalo, and Powell's Books in Downtown, Portland.
